NEW DELHI, May 5: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday strongly condemned the attacks in the United Arab Emirates that left three Indian nationals injured, stating that targeting civilians and infrastructure is unacceptable.
In a social media post, the Prime Minister said India stands in firm solidarity with the UAE and reiterated its support for resolving all issues through peaceful dialogue and diplomacy. He stressed that attacks harming innocent civilians cannot be justified under any circumstances.
The Prime Minister underlined that ensuring safe and unimpeded navigation through the Strait of Hormuz is essential for regional peace, stability, and global energy security.
Reaffirming India’s position, Modi said the country remains committed to supporting all efforts aimed at de-escalation and peaceful resolution of conflicts in the region.
The statement comes amid growing concerns following a drone attack in Fujairah that injured three Indians and caused damage to an industrial oil zone, with the UAE blaming Iran for the strike. India has called for an immediate end to hostilities and protection of civilian lives and infrastructure.
