PM Modi charges Trinamool Congress Chief for indulging in politics of violence

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress Chief Mamata Banerjee is indulging in of violence.

While campaigning in West Bengal today, Mr. Modi said that the violence reflects that the Trinamool Congress Chief is scared seeing people's support to the BJP. The Trinamool Congress Chief Ms. Mamata Banerjee criticized the BJP for damaging the statue of Vidyasagar. She said that yesterday's incident was pre-planned by the BJP.

AIR Kolkata Correspondent reports that several organizations condemned the incident in Vidyasagar College in Kolkata and vandalism at educational institutions. Meanwhile, the TMC today released a video to claim that BJP supporters damaged the statue of social reformer Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar during violence in Kolkata and said it submitted them to the Election Commission.

Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, TMC leader Derek O'Brien said, the video clearly establishes what the BJP did. He said, yesterday's event has shocked and hurt Bengali pride.
