    Panel for examining grievances of registered Jammu migrants

    Jammu and Government has constituted a committee to examine grievances of the registered Jammu Migrants. As per a GAD order, the committee comprises of senior most Additional Commissioner, in the office of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu as chairman; Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner (Migrants), Jammu as Member-Secretary and Director , Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction as Member. The terms of reference of the committee are: to examine the grievances of registered Jammu Migrants for timely redressal; to take stock of delivery of approved benefits to registered migrants; to ensure that any registered migrant is able to file a representation, either physically or through e-mail or any other mode to the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation & Reconstruction or Member Secretary of the Committee; and to devise a mechanism to inform the applicants about the disposal of their grievances/representations. The Committee shall be serviced by the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, and Rehabilitation & Reconstruction, the order reads.
