Pakistani National Arrested in Jaisalmer for Leaking Military Intelligence

Jaisalmer, Sep 26: Rajasthan’s CID Intelligence has apprehended a Pakistani national, Hanif Khan (also known as Hanif Mir Khan, 47), from Jaisalmer for allegedly transmitting confidential information about the Indian Army to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Khan has been booked under the Official Secrets Act, 1923.

    Spy Under Surveillance

CID officials confirmed that Khan, originally from Basanpir Juni and residing in Mohangarh, was under surveillance for suspicious activity. “Investigations revealed that he was in constant contact with the Pakistani intelligence agency through social media,” said Dr. Vishnukant, IGP, CID (Security).

Khan, hailing from Bahla village near the India–Pakistan border, reportedly had easy access to sensitive military areas. During interrogation, he admitted to possessing details of key installations and troop deployments. He allegedly shared strategic intelligence with a Pakistani handler even during ‘Operation Sindoor’, exchanging information for monetary benefits.

    Technical Evidence Confirms Espionage

Analysis of Khan’s mobile phone and further questioning at the Central Interrogation Centre in Jaipur confirmed he was transmitting classified intelligence to ISI operatives. Authorities said this arrest is part of ongoing efforts to curb espionage along Rajasthan’s border districts.
