Jammu Tawi, July 17: President of the National Mazdoor Conference(NMC) Subash Shastri today appealed parliamentarians of Jammu & Kashmir to raise issue of regularization of nearly sixty one thousands daily rated workers working in the various departments of the State government in coming monsoon session of parliament starting from 18th of July.Shastri has issued appeal to these parliamentarians to raise the issue of granting of special package to tune of rupees 9000 cores to ward off expenses on account of regularization and implementation of 7th pay commission recommendations in Jammu & Kashmir also.Shastri while highlighting these issue a very well attended rally of NMC activists at Gandhi Nagar, suggested that a delegation of parliamentarians from Jammu & Kashmir should visit Prime Minister residence to draw home the point besides Union Finance Minister. He reminded these parliamentarians and representatives that these daily rated workers, nearly 4,50000 state government employees and 1,00000 pensioners gave a clear mandate on this and other issue which paved the way for them to get elected to parliament. They should not ignore these sentiments. The workers and employee constituency commands nearly 80% of the total electorate, he added.Shastri also pleaded the cause of both centre as well as state government employees and pensioners. The Finance Minister should personally intervene and settle this issue,” Shastri said.Shastri also stressed upon the need to issue notification regarding the amount of wages of daily rated workers at national level to be raised ten thousand per month as has already been principal agreed by the centre Govt. Reorganisation of the Floriculture Department beside granting technical grades to field staff of the department, change of designation of helpers to gardners and convening of DPC meeting of the Floriculture Department etc were other demands highlighted in the rally.
