Chamoli, June 15: Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani on Monday visited the holy shrines of Badrinath and Kedarnath in Uttarakhand, offering prayers for the prosperity and well-being of the nation.
Officials of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee) accorded him a traditional welcome on his arrival at Badrinath Dham.
According to officials, Ambani reached Badrinath around 9:15 am along with family members and performed special prayers and rituals. He later proceeded to Kedarnath Dham, where he also offered prayers.
During the visit, Ambani donated ₹10 crore to the temple committee for pilgrim welfare and infrastructure development. The committee said the contribution would be used to strengthen facilities for devotees and improve administrative and service infrastructure at the shrines.
Temple officials described the visit as peaceful and well-coordinated, noting that the focus remained on religious rituals and darshan at both shrines.
Ambani’s visit to the Himalayan shrines is part of ongoing high-profile pilgrim visits to the sacred sites during the Char Dham Yatra season, which attracts thousands of devotees from across the country.
The visit concluded after prayers at Kedarnath, following which Ambani and his entourage returned after seeking blessings for national prosperity.
