Minor allegedly raped in Kishtwar, accused held

Minor girl of five years old was allegedly raped by her neighbour in hilly district Kishtwar. However, the accused has been arrested by police.

Police said the incident took place on Tuesday when five year old girl was playing with her brother in the front yard of her house in Akhiarabad, Kishtwar.

They said man living in the girl's neighbourhood  lured the girl and took her into his room and allegedly raped her.

Police said that the incident came into light after the girl narrated the whole  incident to her family and her mother filed a complaint against the accused.

The accused has been arrested by Police identified as Ishtiaq Ahmed Hajam (35) son of Late Gulam Ahmed and case has been registered against him in concerned police station.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishtwar Sandeep Wazir said,  “We have conducted medical of minor girl and investigation of  the case has been started.

“It's a shocking incident came into light after parents registered complaint in police.the accused has been arrested by police within no time and started inquiry.” he added
