Muzaffarpur, Nov 2: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday launched a scathing attack on RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and his family, alleging that if Lalu’s son Tejashwi Yadav came to power, Bihar would see the “creation of three ministries — for murder, kidnapping, and extortion.”
Addressing a poll rally in Muzaffarpur, Shah urged people to vote for the NDA to prevent the return of what he called the “jungle raj” of the RJD era. He contrasted the opposition’s alleged misrule with the NDA’s vision of a “flood-free, developed Bihar.”
“If voted to power, the NDA government will make Bihar flood-free by setting up a separate ministry to control floods,” Shah declared to loud applause from the crowd.
The Home Minister alleged that “efforts are underway to bring back jungle raj with new faces,” warning that a victory for the RJD would mean a return to lawlessness. “If Lalu’s son becomes chief minister, three new ministries will be created — for kidnapping, extortion, and murder,” he said.
Accusing opposition leaders of dynastic politics, Shah claimed that both Lalu Prasad and Congress leader Sonia Gandhi were “trying to make their sons the Bihar chief minister and the country’s prime minister, respectively,” but insisted “both posts are not vacant.”
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made India secure, safe, and prosperous through his welfare schemes,” Shah said, urging voters to ensure the NDA’s victory to sustain Bihar’s progress and stability. (Agencies)
