Mayor kick-starts development works

Jammu Tawi: Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta along with Surinder Chowdhary Councillor of ward no. 29 today kick-started the upgradation work of “Major Akash Singh park” at Rajpura Mangotarian, Jammu. Ashish Bhasin Assistant Executive Engineer along with supervisory staff of Engg Div- II, Suresh Gupta, Om Parkash Gupta, Krishan Verma, Som Nath, Pawan Sharma, Pardeep Sharma, Kiran Sharma & other prominent inhabitants of ward no. 29&33 were also remained present during the function. Speaking on the occasion, Mayor praised the management committee comprising of locals of Rajpura & its adjoining area for proper maintaining of the park & has set an example for others who should also follow them so that different parks of the city can be developed in better way and with the efforts of concern Councillor of the ward. The remaining development work has been started today with an estimated cost of Rs 5.00 Lacs.  Besides this, Mayor also conducted tour of the different areas Sarwal & kick started the upgradation work of Shishu Samadhian situated near Vikas Nagar, Sarwal. Mayor said that it was the long pending demand of the public which has now been fulfilled today by kick starting  much awaited works with an allotted amount of Rs. 20.00 lacs only. He also directed the concerned contractor to complete it with in stipulated time period by applying best quality & durable construction material.
