Reshuffle in J&K Courts: Promotions, Transfers ordered

2 Judges promoted to Super Time Scale, 6 to Selection Time Scale

Jammu Tawi, Mar 30: In a major reshuffle, several Judges and Presiding Officers of the District and the subordinate courts have been promoted and transferred.

The following District and Sessions Judge ( Selection Time Scale) have been promoted to Super Time Scale of the Jammu Kashmir Higher Judicial Services namely Kishore Kumar from 01.01.2021 and Ms. Bala Jyoti from 01.02.2021 vide order 182 of 2021/RG dated 30.03.2021.

The following District and Sessions Judge have been promoted to Selection Time Scale of the Jammu Kashmir Higher Judicial Services  namely Madan lal from 01.01.2021,  Yesh Paul Kotwal from 01.02.2021, Jeema Bashir from 01.02.2021, Jawad Ahmed from 01.03.2021, Haq Nawaz Zarger from 01.04.2021(against anticipated vacancy),Tahir Khursheed Raina from 01.05.2021     (against anticipated vacancy)vide order 183 of 2021/RG dated 30.03.2021.

The placement of Haq Nawaz Zarger and Tahir Khursheed Raina  in Selection Time Scale in Higher Judicial Services shall be subject to the outcome of WP(C) no. 373/2012 pending in the Hon’ble Supreme Court and SWP no. 2224/2018 titled Tahir Khursheed Raina V. the High Court of Jammu Kashmir, pending in  Jammu wing of the High Court.
