Kreeda Bharati convenes meet at Udhampur

Udhampur, Apr 26: Kreeda Bharati and convened a meeting of the proposed unit for district Udhampur holding deliberations with prominent sportspersons and physical educationists.

The meeting was chaired by president of Kreeda Bharati J&K and prominent Dangal (Indian style wrestling) promoter of the Union Territory (UT), Shiv Kumar Sharma.

After a brief introduction, Shiv Kumar explained in length the aims and objectives of the Kreeda Bharat in the country. He elaborated the ongoing missionary projects initiated of the fast growing sports organisation.

He told the gathering that Kreeda Bharati believes in promoting those indigenous games of local importance at the State/UT, district and even at village level with focus on youth to get involved in activities of physical fitness through the medium of organised sports.

“Kreeda Bharati believes in Nation building through the medium of indigenous sports and games. Likewise local languages and cultures, this sports organisation (Kreeda Bharati) want popular village sports to flourish,” said Shiv Kumar Sharma.

Earlier, executive member of the Kreeda Bharati, J&K, Ashutosh Sharma welcomed the people associated with sports from district Udhampur.
