The situation in the Kashmir valley has become volatile, tense and uncertain since after the recent barbaric killing of minorities and non-local labourers by the Pak sponsored terrorists. After the gruesome killing of Deepak Chand (Teacher) – a PM package Migrant employee and a Principal from the Sikh community of the same school, now there is fear psychosis and distress among the Kashmiri Pandit migrant employees and other minorities living in the valley. In the first week of October, a famous pharmacist M.L Bindroo – a Kashmiri Pandit was mercilessly shot dead by the terrorists while he was working in his shop. This is the most coward act by the terrorists. Selective and target killing of KPs and other non locals have turned the environment non-conducive for minorities.
The PM package migrant employees who are working across the length and breadth of Kashmir division are feeling insecure. Already many PM package employees have fled to Jammu as they feel threatened and unsafe now. Government has promised to provide accommodation with security to the all PM package employees but nothing of that sort has happened till date. Thousands of PM package employees are living in rented accommodations so now they are feeling insure as there were also rumours of targeting of KP's by various terrorist organizations. Therefore, J&K authorities should not force PM package employees to join duties in Kashmir till the situation becomes conducive. Target killings of minorities is very condemnable and serious issue & it should be resolved as early as possible. However it be practically impossible to provide security individually to all PM package employees. So I would like to urge LG's administration through these columns of your esteemed newspaper to kindly temporary adjust PM package migrant employees outside the Kashmir valley till the accomodation with security be provided to them.
