JK reports 202 positive cases, one death

Tawi, Jul 15 : The Jammu and Union territory on Thursday witnessed one death due to Covid-19 while as 203 fresh positive cases were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 2,104.

With one more death at Doda the death toll in the UT has reached to 4,361 and 203 fresh positive cases reported on Thursday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 319,355.

Of the exact number of 319,355 cases, 121,011 from Jammu division and 198,344 are from Kashmir division. Among 203 new cases, 129 belong to Kashmir division while as 74 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 198,344 including 194,859 recoveries and 2,231 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 121,011 including 118,031 recoveries and 2,130 deaths.

The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 2,105 including 850 from Jammu division and 1,254 from Kashmir division.

With 334 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 312,890 which is 97.98 percent of the total cases.

“Cases tested positive in J&K include 74 from Jammu division and include 11 from Jammu, 07 from Udhampur, 16 from Rajouri, 03 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 01 from Samba, 06 from Kishtwar, 05 from Poonch, 03 from Ramban and 22 from Reasi while as 42 from Srinagar, 15 from Baramulla, 11 from Budgam, 06 from Pulwama, 12 from Kupwara, 09 from Anantnag, 13 from Bandipora, 19 from Ganderbal, 02 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division, ” officials disclosed

Meanwhile, authorities on Thursday said that no fresh case of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and tally stands at 32.

In Jammu division, 52,605 including 51,288 recoveries and 1,138 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,251 including 11,068 recoveries and 133 deaths are from Udhampur, 10,830 including 10,527 recoveries and 223 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,085 including 6,801 recoveries and 122 deaths are from Doda, 9,245 including 9,078 recoveries and 149 deaths are from Kathua, 7,103 including 6,956 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Samba, 4,574 including 4,472 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,202 including 6,015 recoveries and 94 deaths are from Poonch, 5,922 including 5,800 recoveries and 66 deaths are from Ramban and 6,194 including 6,026 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.

As per officials figures, 70,818 positive cases including 832 deaths and 69,534 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,463 including 280 deaths and 23,017 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,772 including 22,469 recoveries and 204 deaths are from Budgam, 15,063 including 14,791 recoveries and 193 deaths are from Pulwama, 13,980 including 165 deaths and 13,733 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,266 including 15,948 recoveries and 205 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,423 cases including 9,246 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,789 including 9,595recoveries and 77 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,199 including 11,021 recoveries and 117 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,571 including 5,505 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.

As per the daily information bulletin 2,603,838 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 9,348 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 2,104 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 2,294,669 persons have completed the surveillance period and 293,356 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 10,846,544 samples are available. Out of 10,846,544 the number of samples tested negative stands at 10,527,189 while as 319,355 have tested positive, among them 2,104 persons are active, 312,890 persons have recovered and 4,361 persons have died.
