Jammu Tawi, Dec 09: Jammu and Kashmir Thursday reported 192 fresh positive cases taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,696, while no death has been reported in the last 24 hours.
With no more deaths, the death toll in the UT stands at 4,489 and 192 fresh positive cases reported on Thursday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 338,390.
Of the exact number of 338,390 cases, 212,874 are from Kashmir division and 125,516 from Jammu division. Among 192 new cases, 134 belong to Kashmir division while as 58 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 212,874 including 209,368 recoveries and 2,300 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 125,516 including 122,837 recoveries and 2,189 deaths
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,696 including 1,206 from Kashmir division and 490 from Jammu division.
With 135 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 332,205 which is 98.18 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 65 from Srinagar, 24 from Baramulla,19 from Budgam, 02 from Pulwama, 05 from Kupwara, 02 from Anantnag, 07 from Bandipora, 10 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 58 from Jammu division include 33 from Jammu, 04 from Udhampur, 04 from Rajouri, 01 from Doda, 04 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 03 from Kishtwar, 06 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 03 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
In Jammu division, 53,800 including 52,468 recoveries and 1,153 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,449 including 11,305 recoveries and 138 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,347 including 11,092 recoveries and 238 deaths are from Rajouri, 7,969 including 7,802 recoveries and 134 deaths are from Doda, 9,367 including 9,201 recoveries and 152 deaths are from Kathua, 7,169 including 7,042 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,838 including 4,790 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,551 including 6,424 recoveries and 100 deaths are from Poonch, 6,057 including 5,990 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 6,966 including 6,723 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
