JK Police launches ‘minority’ distress helpline number

Srinagar: At a time when terrorist activity has seen a sudden spike, especially with the dastardly killings of innocent minority communities like the Kashmiri Pandits, the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday launched ‘minority’ helpline numbers in order to assist members from these communities.

“The Kashmir Police has established Minority distress helpline at PCR Kashmir. In case of emergency, one may call for assistance on 0194-2482626,” IGP Kashmir informed on social media platform Twitter.

The initiative comes barely a week after terrorist killed several innocent civilians in the Valley, including a noted businessman, a hawker and a labourer.
