44,000 less tests conducted this week
Jammu Tawi, May 19: The rate of Covid-19 positive patients has started stabilising in J&K as last week’s positivity rate was 10.44 and this week’s positivity rate is below 10. However, 44 thousand less tests were conducted this week as compared to last week.
On May 6, out of 47,401 samples tested 4,926 were tested positive, on 7th May, out of 49,708 samples tested 5,443 were found positive and similarly on May 08, out of 46,792 samples, 4,788 were found positive, on May 09, out of 48500 samples tested 5190 were found positive, on May 10 out of 36,800 samples, 3,614 were found positive, on May 11, out of 41,300 samples 4,352 were found positive and on May 12, out of 43,900 samples, 4,509 were found positive.
So, as per the data available from 6-12 May (one week), 314,393 tests were conducted and among them 32,822 samples were tested positive which means the positivity rate in that very week was 10.44 percent.
On May 13, out of 44, 329 samples, 4356 were positive, on May 14, out of 31,552 samples, 3,027 were found positive, on May15, out of 33,500 samples tested, 3677 were found positive, on May 16, out of 36,700 samples 4,141 were tested positive, out of 34,600 samples 3,344 were found positive on May 17 , out of 41,000 samples, 3967 were found positive on May 18 and on May 19 out of samples 48,565 samples 3,969 were found positive
So as per data from May (13-19 ) one week, 270,246 tests were conducted and among them 26,481 were tested positive, so the positivity rate is 9.99. So in a week before Eid, over 44,000 more tests were conducted than in the week after Eid
