REASI, Aug 23: A driver lost his life and two others sustained injuries when their goods carrier was struck by a landslide near Malai Nallah in Mahore, Reasi district, early Saturday.
Officials said the vehicle (JK20B-9578) was buried under debris during the incident. All three occupants were rushed to PHC Dharmari, where the driver, identified as Shahbaz Ahmad, son of Bashir Ahmad from Jamlan, was declared dead on arrival.
The injured were identified as Javeed, son of Mohd Hussain from Kansooli, and Abdul Gani. Police have registered the case and initiated proceedings.
