Rajouri, Oct 14: The Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, on Monday suspended three Block Development Officers (BDOs) over unsatisfactory performance and failure to implement the government’s flagship Aadi Karamyogi Abhiyan in their respective blocks.
The suspended officers are: Khadam Shah (BDO Budhal Old/Rajnagar), Kuldeep Raj (BDO Kalakote), and Dutta Ram (BDO Doongi). The action follows a review of progress reports that revealed non-compliance with directives and poor execution of key developmental initiatives.
A senior official told news agency that the suspensions underscore the administration’s commitment to accountability and effective service delivery in rural development departments. “The action has been taken due to their failure to execute key components of the Aadi Karamyogi Abhiyan, which aims to strengthen grassroots governance,” the official added.
The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Rajouri has been tasked to conduct a detailed inquiry and submit a report within seven days.
Officials also directed all other officers to adhere strictly to timelines and work standards under government schemes, warning that any lapses would attract similar disciplinary action.
The Aadi Karamyogi Abhiyan is a government initiative aimed at improving administrative efficiency, transparency, and coordination between panchayats and implementing agencies in rural development projects. (Agencies)
