Jammu, July 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Tuesday ordered the transfer and posting of 23 doctors, including the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of Jammu, Medical Superintendents, Deputy Medical Superintendents and Block Medical Officers (BMOs), across the Union Territory with immediate effect.
According to the orders, Dr Harbaksh Singh has been transferred from the post of Chief Medical Officer, Jammu, and posted as In-charge Deputy Director (Headquarters), Directorate of Health Services, Jammu. Dr Narinder Bhutyal, who was serving as In-charge Deputy Medical Superintendent of Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, has been appointed as the new In-charge CMO, Jammu.
Among other major reshuffles, Dr Sanjay Arora has been posted as In-charge Medical Superintendent of Government Hospital Gandhi Nagar, while Dr Salma Bhat has been transferred from Trauma Hospital, Kangan, and posted as In-charge CMO, Shopian.
Dr Usha Kiran Sidha has been appointed In-charge BMO Akhnoor, while Dr Jatinder Mehta, presently on deputation to the National Health Mission (NHM), will continue to hold additional charge as Additional Mission Director, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
The order also posts Dr Samina Nazir as In-charge Mobile Unit, Directorate of Health Services, Jammu, and Dr Vishal Raina as In-charge Deputy Medical Superintendent, Bone and Joint Hospital, Jammu. Dr Sharmeen Mushtaq has been posted as In-charge Deputy CMO Srinagar, while Dr Vijay Kumar has been appointed In-charge BMO Batote.
Other transfers include Dr Harbinder Singh as In-charge BMO Dansal, Dr Pankaj Gupta to look after the charge of BMO Ramnagar, Dr Riyaz Ahmad Wani as In-charge BMO Pulwama and Dr Nazir Ahmed Dar as In-charge BMO Shopian. Dr Opinder Singh has been assigned the additional charge of BMO Banihal.
The government also ordered the deputation and transfer of several Medical Officers and specialists, including Dr Naseem Chouhan, Dr Sania Afzal Wani, Dr Umar Nazir Munshi, Dr Neelofer Akhter, Dr Fozia Gul, Dr Feroze Bhat, Dr Aga Nadeem and Dr Kanchan Bhagat to various healthcare institutions across Jammu and Kashmir.
In a separate order, the government also transferred and posted 30 more doctors, including Medical Officers, Dental Surgeons and Consultants, as part of a wider administrative reshuffle in the Health Department.
