Jammu Tawi: The Indian Institute of Management Jammu (IIM Jammu) successfully hosted its alumni reunion event, “Samagam 2.0,” on January 25-26, 2025, at its campus. The event saw enthusiastic participation from alumni across various batches, including MBA, MBA (HA & HM), and EMBA programs, along with faculty and current students. The reunion provided a platform for alumni to reconnect with their alma mater, share experiences, and reflect on IIM Jammu’s journey.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, who addressed attendees with a message about mutual expectations between the Institute, its students, and alumni. He emphasized the significance of alumni taking pride in their association with IIM Jammu and contributing to its growing reputation. Prof. Sahay also shared exciting plans for the formalization of the IIM Jammu Alumni Association and the creation of Alumni Chapters across India, further strengthening the bond with alumni.
The reunion featured various activities, including a campus tour, alumni introductions (both online and offline), a special video presentation showcasing IIM Jammu’s growth, and a formal PowerPoint presentation by Dr. Vinod Durge, Associate Professor of Practice at IIM Jammu, on the roadmap for the alumni association. The event also included engaging sessions such as leadership panel discussions, sports activities, and cultural performances.
Prominent attendees included faculty members such as Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean Academics; Dr. Ravij Seth; Prof. Pankaj Maheshwari; and Dr. Muqbil Burhan, Chairperson of the Center for Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Skill Development. The event also featured a welcome address by Dr. Pradeep K. Tarei, Chairperson of Alumni Relations, and a vote of thanks from Dr. Jaganth G., Co-Chairperson of Alumni Relations.
The reunion concluded with a group photograph, creating lasting memories for attendees, and reaffirming IIM Jammu’s commitment to fostering a thriving and engaged alumni network. The event was coordinated by the Alumni Relations Committee at IIM Jammu, reflecting the Institute’s vision of excellence, collaboration, and continuous growth.
