There are times when the world feels too heavy
Too many goodbyes, too many shocks, too much pain
Ankit Sharma
In just the past few months, we have witnessed sorrow beyond words- The Pahalgam terrorist attack stole innocent lives from their loved ones and cast a shadow over a place known for its panoramic scenic beauty. The Kedarnath helicopter crash left behind pilgrims who never got to complete their spiritual journey. The Air India tragedy reminded us how even in a world of AI & technology, human fragility remains. The Cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh, triggering flash floods and landslides that swept away vehicles, homes and livelihoods. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed. To wonder, “what’s the point of it all?” But just as the darkest nights test the strength of stars- it is during these very times that our courage is called to rise.

Scars That Hurt, But Also Heal
Each tragedy leaves behind scars. But scars are not signs of weakness, they are signs that healing has begun.
Even in the shadow of tragedy, Kashmir’s spirit stands tall, from the resilience of its people to the flagging off of the Vande Bharat, a symbol of progress and unity.
In Kedarnath, despite the crash, pilgrimage continues, driven by faith stronger than fear.
After the Air India mishap, while lives were lost, it was NDRF and other support teams swing into the action immediately. Reminding everyone that spirit of the human mind is unshakable.
Amidst the fury of flash floods, the spirit of Himachal shines through, with communities rising in courage and compassion. Nature tested but the resolve of hills remain unbroken.
And Yet- The World Moves Towards Light
Amidst the tragedies, life has not stopped shining. There are stories of hope, of breakthroughs, of rebirth if only we choose to see them.
- In Jammu & Kashmir, the Vande Bharat Express was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking a new era of high-speed connectivity. The people of Kashmir watched not just another train move; they witnessed a dream arrive on tracks which would make travel from Jammu to Kashmir possible in just four hours.
- Schools in in conflict affected areas are full again, markets are buzzing and tourism is ready to thrive back again in the valley. Peace once a distant hope, now walks back softly through the streets.
- In India’s space sector, ISRO’s Aditya L-1 mission to study the sun is progressing brilliantly and Ganga Yaan, India’s first human spaceflight mission has already touched the stars.
- On a global scale, climate efforts are in the right direction, new vaccines are being developed in order to save the million lives.
In short – not all is lost. Much is being rebuilt. Much is blooming!
Soldier & Monk Philosophy: Living Whole not Hollow
To “rise above” does not mean to ignore the worlds pain. It means to feel it, carry it and still choose to live fully. That’s what a Soldier does in war. That’s what a Monk does in solitude.
- Purpose over Panic: Knowing what you stand for keeps you grounded & motivated.
- Service over Sorrow: Helping others heals you.
- Silence over Noise: Not every crisis needs reaction, some need reflection.
- Choose Love: Even if it hurts
“This is the Soldier & Monk Way- Not blind optimism, but disciplined hope. A sacred blend of strength and serenity.”
To Our Readers- A Gentle Battle Cry
To the young dreamer in Kashmir, to the teacher in Udhampur, to the mother in Mumbai, to the Soldier at the border, this is for you.
Even now, especially now- live life to the fullest
Smile even if your voice shakes
Dream even if your heart aches
Because hope is not naïve. It is bravest thing we can hold!
Let article not just be read, but felt!
Let it remind us all that our spirits were made for the times like these
And that even in a broken world, we can live unbroken!
