Jammu Tawi, April 02: The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir today issued notice returnable by April 16 to the state government and the Jammu University Authorities on admittance of a PIL 09/2019 and an Interim Application 01/2019 filed by Jammu Education Society seeking direction of the High Court to the respondents to implement the orders passed by a Internal Committee on Sexual Harassment against the Respondent No. 04 against whom the said committee had recommended not to assign any important academic position. The Petitioners have prayed to the court seeking relief that the respondent number 04 be removed from the present important academic positions.
The Bench comprising Chief Justice Geeta Mittal and Justice Sindhu Sharma, after hearing the Advocate Anchint H Sharma, the counsel for the petitioner, ordered for issuing notice in the PIL.
