Google has its annual ‘Made by Google' product launch event coming up on August 13th where the company is poised to take the wraps off its largest Pixel smartphone family yet. According to leaks, the Pixel 9 series will break from past form by debuting four distinct models spanning a variety of screen sizes and price points.
Topping the lineup is expected to be the Pixel 9 Pro Fold with its expansive foldable display. Alongside it would be the Pixel 9 Pro XL offering flagship specs in a enlarged conventional design. A standard Pixel 9 Pro and entry-level Pixel 9 are also tipped to broaden consumer options. All models are said to run on Google's in-house Tensor G4 chip and debut with the latest Android 15 software straight out of the box.
In addition to revamped Pixel Buds Pro earbuds and Pixel Watch smartwatch, Google's event may serve as a venue to showcase new AI-powered image and photo editing capabilities exclusive to Pixel devices. With its August showcase, Google aims to gain an early edge in the annual holiday smartphone battle against industry rivals. Stay tuned for the official unveiling where Google will hope to make a splash with its most ambitious Pixel hardware family to date.
