Jammu Tawi, Aug 2:The officiating Army Commander of Western Command, Lieutenant General JS Cheema reviewed the Security arrangements at Samba and Jammu areas of the Rising Star Corps, today. The General Officer carried out an aerial and ground reconnaissance of the border areas. He reviewed the operational preparedness of the formations besides taking stock of the security arrangements.
The Officiating Army Commander expressed satisfaction at the security arrangements in vogue in the region. While interacting with the troops, he praised their contribution towards thwarting the nefarious designs of terrorists and anti-national elements. Lieutenant General JS Cheema also exhorted the troops to remain vigilant especially in light of the forthcoming Independence Day.
