Fresh batch of 1207 pilgrims leave for Amarnath cave

: A fresh batch of 1,207 pilgrims today left for the Amarnath cave shrine in South amidst tight security.

A total of 1,207 pilgrims, including 884 men, 276 women, and 47 sadhus left in 39 vehicles from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu for the two base camps of Pahalgam and Baltal in Kashmir this morning, a police officer said.

Yesterday, 5,569 yatris paid obeisance at the Holy Cave.

Till date, a total of 1,93,472 piligrims had darshan at the Amarnath cave shrine. (AGENCIES)
