Jammu, May 29: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) organised inter-Panchayat Zonal level sports meet for those non students in the age group of 19-35 years as part of the Anti Narcotic Drive at Bhalwal, here.
Sarpanch Lower Domana-A, Vikram Sharma was chief guest, who along with guest of honour, Principal GMHSS Domana, Tanveer-ul-Absar Ahmed interacted with the participants and encouraged them to the world of sports.
Earlier, Zonal Physical Education Officer (ZPEO) Bhalwal, Avinash Rani presented a brief note of the event and other activities being organised by the DYSS aiming at involving the young men and women in sports.
The participants from different Panchayats of zone Bhalwal (block Bhalwal and Mathwar) took part in twin events of Kabaddi and Volleyball.
Speaking to the gathering, chief guest appreciated the efforts of DYSS in providing both students and non students platforms to channelize their energies with ultimate aim of inculcating the habit of games.
