Kisthwar, Oct 3: In another step towards the welfare of the Awaam and on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the Army camp at Dul kicked-off the
much awaited Dachhan Cricket Premier League in Sondar Village of Block Dachhan Kishtwar.
The tournament is organised with an aim to provide an opportunity to the cricket talents of Dachhan region, foster spirit of
sportsmanship amongst all the youth of Dachhan region and also encourage positive engagement towards sports.
The tournament witnessed overwhelming participation as 36 teams registered themselves for the competition. This is the 3rd edition of
the tournament which has already gained widespread popularity in the earlier two editions.
The tournament was inaugurated by Colonel Ameya Chiplunkar, Commanding Officer, 17 Rashtriya Rifle (MARATHA
LIGHT INFANTRY). He appreciated all teams for coming out and participating in the tournament and encouraged them for a good
and healthy competition abiding by the rules of the game.
The first match was played between Kanday Strikers and Young Squad Janakpura. The tournament will have a total of 35
matches with the final scheduled in the third week of October 2022.
