CUJ School of Education gets Rs 7.5 Cr grant

Jammu Tawi, Aug 2: A grant of Rs 7.50 crore has been sanctioned in favour of the Central University of Jammu for establishing School of under Pandit Madan Mohan Maliviya Mission for teachers and teaching by MHRD New Delhi. This institution will explore collaboration. The amount of Rs 7.50 crore included Rs 4.40 crore for infrastructure, two crore recurring grant per year for organizing various academic programmes for the benefits of teachers and teaching through School of Education. Rs 10 lakh has been sanctioned for equipment.

Decision to sanction this fund was made in the high level meeting of MHRD, which was held on July 13, 2016. The School of Education will become a focal point in the entire State for raising the intellectual capacity of the teachers working at school level.

This is another feather in the cap of Prof Ashok Aima, who is ably leading the Central University of Jammu.

It is important to mention here that with his personal initiatives, Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jammu (CUJ), Prof Ashok Aima has managed huge funds to  develop this University as a centre of knowledge in the entire .

The Vice Chancellor has not only managed funds for academic activities but also got funds for the development of the campus.

Recently Vice Chancellor, Prof Ashok Aima has personally taken the issue with the authorities concerned and managed an amount worth Rs 15 crore for the boundary wall of the campus. Furthermore, he has also effective took up the matter to provide better facilities to the students. It was all due to his initiatives that some time back Rs 50 crore was sanctioned for 100 seater boys and girls hostel.
