    Price of essential commodities may go up significantly

    Jammu Tawi, Mar 27: The people of the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) will have to face high financial burden from next month onwards for not only traveling in the public transport vehicles but also for buying electric items like ACs, vehicles, DE freezers, LEDs, ROs, laptops, computers etc.

    From April first onwards, there will be a hike of 18% in J&K’s public transport fare, while the travel for the common people in the 200 e-buses operating across the J&K will also be costlier by seven percent (7%).

    However, the females will continue to enjoy free ride in the 200 e-buses operating across Jammu and Kashmir.

    From 1st of April next month onwards, the cost of electronic items like ACs, TVs (LEDs), cold storage items, and vehicles are most likely to be costlier as proposed in the central and the J&K UT budget, sources said.

    From April 1st onwards, the free limit of monthly charge from ATM will no more be there and

    Apart from this, the America-Isreal and Iran war is also going to leave its impact and it is every likelihood that the prices of essential daily commodities may go up significantly, they said.

    Already, the prices of vegetables and other essential commodities of daily use like mustard oil, pulses etc are high in J&K.

    The steep rise in the crude oil due to America-Israel and Iran war may further push the people to face high price rise.

    The prices of domestic LPG cylinders, Petrol and diesel may also go up due to the ongoing in the coming days in case the war continues for days to come.
