Leaders of all political parties are holding rallies at different places as just over a week remains for the campaigning for the October 21 Maharashtra Assembly Elections. BJP's National President and Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a rally at Chikhali in Buldhana district today. He said BJP-Shiv Sena alliance works for the country and NCP- Congress combine for their respective families.
Criticizing Congress for opposing scrapping of Article 370 Mr Shah said, for BJP, the country's security more important than vote-bank politics. He said, Prime Minister Narendra Modi dared to scrap Articles 370 & 35A of Constitution, which were big hurdles in Jammu & Kashmir's integration with rest of the country.
Mr Shah said Maharashtra has reaped the benefits of the double-engine Government in the last five years, PM Modi at the Centre, and CM Fadnavis in Maharashtra.
The campaigning will end on the evening of October 19 and votes will be counted on October 24.
