    Bahu police arrests four accused in Qasim Nagar robbery case

    Jammu Tawi, August 4:

    Bahu police arrested four of the six accused involved in the robbery in Qasim Nagar area. The looted amount, sharp weapons and two vehicles were recovered from their possession. Ajay Kumar, who lives in Tange Wali Gali, told the media in an interview that he was going to Narwal Mandi as usual at 3:30 am on Saturday, July 26. Meanwhile, six youths riding a sports bike and a scooty started following him. As soon as he reached the forest check post of Qasim Nagar, he saw that the youths riding a scooty and a bike were standing ahead. They had tilted the bike and parked it in the middle of the road and had blocked the way by forming a chain by holding each other’s hands. Ajay Kumar told that he thought that he would hit someone and leave but those youths pushed him down from the scooty due to which his clothes got torn and he also got injured.  All the youths caught him and started demanding money. One of the youths took out a sharp weapon and put it on his neck. After this, he gave them 30 thousand rupees. The youths fled with the money. A case was registered in Bagh-e- Bahu police station under sections of the Arms Act and investigation was started.

    During the investigation, with the help of CCTV footage, technical analysis and intelligence, 6 youths were traced. They were identified as Abhi Sharma resident Shahabad Colony Bagh-e- Bahu, Musvir resident Jogi Gate Jammu, Adil resident Bave Wali Gali Shahidi Chowk, Jagjot Singh alias Karan resident Trikuta Nagar. Two minors were also involved in this gang, their identity has been kept secret.

    Abhi Sharma and Jagjit Singh were arrested. Rs 12000 from the looted amount, sharp weapons, motorcycle and scooty were recovered from their possession. Two accused are still absconding.
