Jammu Tawi, May 23:
Senior BJP leader Chander Mohan Sharma while addressing a gathering of BJP workers and representatives of NGOs working in the field of environment protection today said that pain and cry in the statement of Ghulam Nabi Azad is similar to the tone of Kashmiri leaders who are annoyed for the reservation of assembly seats for STs (Gujjar-Bakerwals) in the Union territory and also for the allocation of more assembly seats in the region of Jammu province.
Azad's sulking seems obvious as Azad himself a Kashmiri, the fact he had acknowledged many times on different occasions.
He said that it is unfortunate that Congress leader termed the report of delimitation as ‘tailor-made' one.
He further added that the new assembly seats have been carved out in far-flung and hilly areas so it should have been appreciated by Azad who himself comes from such an area.
Chander Mohan Sharma expressed his astonishment that senior Congress leader has joined the chorus with Omar Abdullah in singing the song of scorching heat as reason for unprecedented influx of tourists in Valley. “Let us not forget that there are the number of cool destinations in other parts of the country like Himachal, U'khand, Nainital in UP upto Assam but why the tourism boom is in Kashmir only. People in Jammu Kashmir UT and also in whole of the country know that improved governance, additional and convenient flights, easy railways connectivity, the confidence in Govt policies made change of attitude of Kashmiris and their known hospitality are the real reason for huge tourists influx,” he said.
He asks Azad to throw away old glasses, Observe and feel the positive change and appreciate it.
Others who addressed the gathering include Balwinder Singh Bhatia and Rajkumar Gupta.
