Additional District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Ashok Kumar today convened a meeting to review arrangements for celebrations of International Yoga Day to be celebrated on June 21, 2019.
It was decided in the meeting that the main event on the day would be held at Sports Stadium on June 21 from 6 am onwards.
Arrangements related to security, drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, sanitation, PA system were discussed in the meeting.
The ADDC called upon field officials to create awareness among masses to make yoga a part life for health and longevity.
He called upon the general public of the district for greater participation in the event across age groups. He asked the youth to take part in the Yoga Day to create better dissemination of benefits of yoga.Among others PO ICDS, Assistant Commissioner Development, Presidents of different Yog Sansatha, and officers of various departments were present on the occasion.
