Apni Party to support those who will get back statehood to J&K: Bukhari

Srinagar, Apr 15: Apni Party President Altaf Bukhari on Monday said that his party will support those political parties who will get back the statehood to and .

The Apni Party has already announced the names of two candidates for Srinagar and Anantnag Lok Sabha seats. The party has not named any candidates for the rest of three seats including two in Jammu region.

Bukahri said they would support those who are speaking truth.

“One who gets back the Statehood to Jammu and Kashmir we will support them?Those who will get our youth, elders and the religious leaders released from the jails, we are with them. The time will come and I will speak their names also”, he told media persons in Srinagar.

When asked why no candidate for the upcoming parliamentary elections has been nominated from the Jammu division, the Apni party President said “this time we have decided to fight from the valley and fielded our candidates for the Parliamentary elections. In Jammu, Apni Party is busy in preparations for the forthcoming Assembly elections.”

Asked to respond why Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah blamed that Altaf Bukhari has a tie up with the Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Lone, Bukhari said “this was not to blame.. you have been mistaken”.

“Let me clear it that my relations are with every political party, be it National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party, Congress, BJP or Peoples Conference or any other party..the doors of my house are always open for them,” he said.

“I respect Omar Sahib, but it is also true that he fled from Srinagar and is contesting from Baramulla, Bukhari said”.

The Apni Party President said that people including men, women and young ones are joining his party from all parts of the Kashmir valley.
