Apple has now joined huge fan-followers in India by opening its first exclusive store in India. But don't worry, it's not just in Mumbai; the second retail location is in India's capital city, Delhi, and it officially opened to the public today, April 20.
So far, Apple users in India have always purchased all of their products from Apple Premium Resellers — third-party stores that have obtained a licence from Apple. The new Cupertino-based Apple Inc stores, which finally arrived in India on April 18 in Mumbai and on April 20 in Delhi, are more than just retail stores. These stores will offer a premium experience that all Apple fans adore.
The Apple store in Delhi is located in the Select City Walk Mall, and its architecture is inspired by the capital city's various gates. According to reports, the Apple Delhi retail store is approximately 10,000 square feet in size.
Apple CEO Tim Cook, who is in India to oversee the opening of Apple retail stores, was greeted warmly by Delhi residents. He also met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with whom he discussed the impact of technology in education and other fields.
“Apple flagship stores are a critical component of Apple's market outreach strategy.” They concentrate on providing distinctive customer experiences in the form of distinct ‘town squares' for consumers seeking aspirational lifestyles. While doing so, they allow customers to touch, feel, explore, and experience the devices. Beyond products, these stores serve as a customer service touchpoint as well as a community hub for consumers, with specially curated Today at Apple sessions to explore, learn, and unwind,” said Prabhu Ram, Head of Industry Intelligence Group (IIG) at CyberMedia Research (CMR). Here's what to expect when you go shopping.
Apple products have grown in popularity in India by leaps and bounds in recent years. As a result, long lines have formed outside the various Apple stores in India. This will change with the construction of the new Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). The store at Jio World Drive Mall is nearly 22,000 square feet in size, making it ideal for accommodating more customers.
This time, the traditional white-themed retail stores have been replaced by more visually appealing ones. Taking it a step further, the Apple store in Mumbai, India, has some visually appealing designs. The most well-known Apple stores include The Cube in New York, Apple Pizza Liberty in Milan, Apple Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, and others. The Apple store in India is a tribute to Mumbai's iconic Kaali Peeli taxi art.
The Mumbai retail store is stocked with a wide variety of inventories, including variants and colours. Expect minimal or no delays in receiving any Apple products. “The range of devices available for demo and purchase in Apple stores is much broader.” Another important differentiator is stock availability. Most importantly, the purchasing experience at Apple stores will be much different and better – in terms of the purchase process, setting up the device, or troubleshooting,” said Navkendar Singh, Associate Vice President, Client Devices & IPDS, IDC India.
Apple has also introduced convenient delivery and pickup options, special carrier offers, great trade-in values, and expert support to make life easier for its customers. Customers who purchase products online have the option of picking them up in store. Apple's trade-in service would also apply here. Customers can easily exchange an Apple or third-party device for store credit towards their next purchase.
