    ‘Amrit Udyan’ To Open for Public From Feb 3

    New Delhi, Feb 1: The iconic Amrit Udyan at Rashtrapati Bhavan will open for public viewing from Tuesday, February 3, President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the Winter Annuals Edition 2026 on Sunday, an official statement said.

    The garden will remain open till March 31, 2026, and can be visited six days a week from 10 am to 6 pm, with the last entry allowed at 5 pm. It will remain closed on Mondays for maintenance and on March 4 on account of Holi.

    This year, entry to the Amrit Udyan will be free, but visitors must book tickets online in advance, as no on-the-spot booking facility will be available. Bookings can be made only through the official website of Rashtrapati Bhavan, and reservations for a particular day will close at 10 am on the previous day.

    Special viewing days have been earmarked for select groups — March 3 for defence personnel, March 5 for senior citizens, March 10 for women and tribal women’s self-help groups, and March 13 for divyangjan.

    Entry and exit for all visitors will be through Gate No. 35 of the President’s Estate, near North Avenue. A shuttle bus service from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35 will operate every 30 minutes between 9.30 am and 6 pm, with the last service departing at 4 pm.

    Visitors will be able to explore several attractions, including tulips, 145 varieties of roses, a babbling brook, bonsai and banyan gardens, and reflexology paths. Basic facilities such as drinking water, toilets and medical aid will be available. (Agencies)
