Union Home Minister Amit Shah today targeted Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Bhupinder Singh Hooda while addressing three poll rallies in Rewari, Barara (Ambala) and Ladwa (Kurukshetra). He said three Ds — dealer, dalal and damaad — used to run the Congress government in Haryana.
He also accused the Congress of spreading lies to mislead the people about the Agnipath scheme and said the BJP would give permanent government job with pension facility to every Agniveer of Haryana.
“During the Congress regime, jobs were sold, and agents, money and recommendations were required to get the job. A new term ‘not found suitable' was introduced in the reserved categories to sell jobs,” said Shah.
Over the Agnipath issue, Shah said, “The Congress is spreading the illusion that agniveers will be left without employment after the completion of their job period but the Centre and the Haryana Government will provide permanent government job to every Agniveer of Haryana with the facility of pension as per the decision of PM Narendra Modi. Rahul Gandhi has no work except to spread rumours.”
He slammed the Congress, saying its leaders never gave respect to the Army. “Rahul Gandhi wants to end the reservation but as long as the BJP is in power, it will not allow them to do so,” said the BJP strongman. He also challenged Rahul Gandhi to bring back Article 370 in Kashmir.
In Ambala, Shah said, “The Dalits of Haryana haven't forgotten the Gohana and Mirchpur incidents. Even today, Hooda has an anti-Dalit mindset and he believes he will lose election if Dalit sister Kumari Selja goes for campaigning,” he said. In an indirect attack on INLD leader and former CM Om Prakash Chautala, Shah said, “Big leaders, including the CM, were sent to jail in job recruitment scam. But in the BJP's 10-year of rule, jobs were given on merit.”
