Additional COVID SOPs issued for Jammu District

    Retail Shops, Hardware, electrical stores to open thrice a week till 11 am alternatively

    Jammu Tawi, May 23: Anshul Garg, Chairperson District Disaster Management Authority, Jammu in addition to extension of Corona Curfew till 7.00 AM on May 31 issued additional SOPs for regulation of permissible and partially permissible activities in Jammu District vide order no. 10/DCJ dt May 23, 2021.

    According to the order, the Grocery & Departmental Stores, Dry Fruits & Floral Shops are to open on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays till from 6 am to 11 am while wholesale grocery markets only for Business to Business activities, Mandies, Shops and street vendors dealing with Fruits & Vegetables only, milk & Dairy Products, Bakery, Meat & Chicken Shops will remain open across the week from 6 am to 11 am.

    Hardware, Cement, Building Material and Sanitary Goods Stores, Glass Houses, Shops dealing with repair of Electrical & Electronic Appliances are to open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays till 11 am.

    All activities and movements shall be permissible as per the guidelines detailed below in entire Jammu District-   

    (A). Permissible Activities in entire District

    1. Chemists and Druggists (both retail and wholesale), Diagnostic Centres, Medical,

    optical and Clinical Establishments

    1. LPG Outlets and Petrol Pumps

    iii. Agricultural activities including establishments dealing with agricultural inputs,

    implements and tools

    1. Cattle feed and fodder shops
    2. Banks, ATMS and Cash Vans
    3. Print and electronic media (on production of valid ID card/ pass)

    vii. FCI and FCS&CA depots

    viii. Operation and maintenance of telecom towers and other telecom infrastructure

    (on production of valid 1D Card/ pass)

    1. e-Commerce & Home Delivery of essential goods and services
    2. Restaurants in Hotels for in-house guests, to be served only in rooms
    3. Kitchens in Restaurants and Food Outlets (only for Home Delivery) subject to

    production of valid permits

    xii. Dhabas/Eateries along National Highways outside Jammu Municipal Corporation

    (IMC) limits to cater to Truck drivers and cleaners

    xiii. All Industrial and Scientific establishments (both Public & Private)

    xiv. All development, construction works and mining activities

    1. Service Stations, Automobile and Cycle Repair Shops, Welding shops, shops

    dealing with spare parts of Industrial Units & Mechanical Workshops

    xvi. Movement of all Health, Medical & Sanitation personnel (Both Govt. and

    Private) on production of ID cards

    xvii. Routine vaccination drive at all designated sites

    1. Interstate and intra state movement of essential goods

    xviii Officers and officials of UT Government, Govt of India, PSUs, Autonomous Bodjes, Universities, All India Radio, Doordarshan and other such offices as per 50% attendance rosters formulated by concerned Head of the Departments

    (B). Partially Permissible Activities in entire District (6.00 AM to 11.00 AM)   

    Monday to Saturday

    1. Wholesale grocery markets only for Business to Business activities
    2. Mandies, Shops and street vendors dealing with Fruits & Vegetables only
    3. Milk & Dairy Products
    4. Bakery, Meat &Chicken Shops

    Monday, Wednesday, Friday

    1. Grocery & Departmental Stores
    2. Dry Fruits& Floral Shops

    Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

    1. Hardware, Cement, Building Material and Sanitary Goods Stores, Glass Houses
    2. Shops Dealing with repair of Electrical & Electronic Appliances

    (C). Schedule for Inspection of Stocks (8.00 pm to 10.00 pm)     

    Various categories of establishments shall be allowed a 2-hour window as per the

    following schedule only for inspection of stocks. However no commercial activity or

    transactions shall be carried during this time and violations shall attract penal

    provisions under DM Act:

    1. Boutiques & Cosmetic Shops- Wednesday

    2. Furniture Showrooms and Stores- Thursday

    1. Arms & Ammunition Shops,  Shops dealing with Sports equipment- Friday

    All other instructions and SOPs issued by this office in this regard and not in contradiction to above, will continue to remain valid.
