While aspirations of entering the glamorous world of entertainment often face difficulties, one actor’s persistence was rewarded with success. Taha Shah Badussha had long dreamed of being part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much anticipated web series ‘Heeramandi’. After multiple auditions for different roles, the casting director Shruti Mahajan informed him that a character role was not the right fit. Feeling disheartened by yet another rejection, Taha exclaimed “My luck is really bad!”.

She suggested another role which could be suitable – that of the powerful character Tajdar Baloch. Through dedicated practice and harnessing his innate skills, Taha wowed the creative mastermind Bhansali himself during the audition. After a thorough selection process involving several rounds of auditions and look tests, Taha was officially cast in the groundbreaking role.
