A large fire broke out in the Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC) division office in Srinagar’s Gogjibagh district on Wednesday, destroying two government cars as well as certain paperwork, including staff service books.
Quoting official sources, news agency KNO reported that two government vehicles bearing registration number JK01-1504 and JKD-6484 were damaged in the blaze.
Official sources informed that the fire tenders later rushed to the spot to douse the flames. The cause of fire is suspected to be a short circuit.
