Northlines Correspondent | JAMMU TAWI, MAY 26: In a major vaccination drive at different places in Jammu District, various people categorized under high priority group received first dose of vaccine.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that a special vaccination drive has been started at 32 different locations to vaccinate the priority groups including shopkeepers, journalists, lawyers, widows, orphans, people associated with tourism sector etc.
The Deputy Commissioner Anshul Garg today stated that the district administration is making constant efforts in providing all kinds of services/facilities to the people affected by Coronavirus.
During a visit to inspect the vaccination drive at Women College Gandhi Nagar, Super Speciality Hospital and Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex, the Deputy Commissioner briefed the media about the measures being taken by District Administration to curb Covid-19 cases.
Jammu Kashmir High Court
Health and Medical Education (H&ME) and Law Departments in collaboration with High Court of J&K organised two days Covid-19 vaccination camp for the Advocates of J&K Bar Association Jammu for the age group of 18 to 45 years at Jammu wing of High Court.
Registrar Judicial, SR Gandhi, Joint Registrar Protocol/Judicial Dinesh Gupta, Director litigation, Villy Koul and other staff members were also present on the occasion.
Vaccination team was headed by Dr Ambika Bali accompanied by Nodal Officer Dr Nahida Kousar, Dr Archana, Dr Yamini and Dr Puja along with other paramedical staff.
On the first day of vaccination camp held on 25th of May 2021, covid vaccine was administered to 720 persons while as on on 26th of May 2021, 830 persons were vaccinated.
In all 1550 persons including staff of High Court & District Court Jammu were vaccinated. All SOPs of Covid-19 were followed during the vaccination camp.
Journalists
A Vaccination drive was launched by the Information Department for media persons at the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Jammu yesterday and today at Srinagar.
As many as 100 media persons coming in the age group 18-44 age group were vaccinated today at the Media Complex of DIPR.
Faculty
A vaccination drive was organized today for 18 to 45 Year age group here at Government P.G College for Women, Gandhi Nagar.
The teaching and non teaching faculty of all the constituent colleges and GCW Parade were inoculated. A total 380 faculty members were vaccinated in this drive.
Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Anshul Garg, also visited and inspected the arrangements at vaccination booth as per COVID SOPs.
