Revealed! Pakistani Army personnel, ISI trained Uri attackers

Delhi: In a new revelation, it has emerged that Pakistani Army personnel and ISI officers visited camps in which attackers of Uri were trained, as per a media report.

According to Aaj Tak, things came to light after Investigation Agency questioned guides who had helped the militants who attacked Army base in and .

Also, training for modern equipment like Japanese ICOM radio set and GPS devices was given by experts from Pakistan Army's IT expert.

The media house further quoted sources as saying that JeM handlers would be subjected to lie detector tests.

Yesterday, Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar on Tuesday had issued a demarche to Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit and had handed him incriminating proof regarding Uri terror attack.

Basit was confronted with proof of ‘cross-border origins' of the terror strike and was told that the preliminary interrogation had revealed identity of one of the slain Uri attackers as Hafiz Ahmed, son of Feroz and resident of Dharbang, Muzaffarabad.

At the same time, he was also given details of Pakistan-based handlers.

Details of guides are – Faizal Hussain Awan (20 years), son of Gul Akbar, resident of Potha Jahangir, Muzzaffarabad and Yasin Khurshid (19 years), s/o Mohammed Khurshid, r/o Khiliana Kalan, Muzzaffarabad.

Names of handlers are – Mohammad Kabir Awan and Basharat.

18 Indian jawans were killed in a deadly attack by Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists from across the border in J&K.

Four terrorists were also killed by the Army.
