JU felicitates MIET for QCI National Award

Sep 02: Prof. R.D Sharma, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu today felicitated the leadership team of Model Institute of Engineering and (MIET) for being recently conferred with the Quality Council of 's Platinum Award for Quality at the level. MIET received the prestigious D.L Shaw Platinum Award for Quality for its innovative quality management software during the 11th National Quality Conclave at New Delhi on 19thAugust.

Complimenting the students, faculty and management of MIET for quality related initiative, Prof. Sharma expressed satisfaction that MIET had developed the capacity and capability of in-house software development and undertaken the design and implementation of the quality analytics software which got national level recognition.  He hoped that MIET will continue to enhance its quality and reputation even further. He wished the institution all the best for future endeavors. Jai Kumar Sharma, Director, Colleges Development Council was also present on the occasion.

The team from MIET including Prof. Ankur Gupta, Prof. S.K Sharma and Prof. G. S Sambyal apprised the Vice Chancellor about the award and the process of selection adopted by the QCI. The Quality Council of India is an autonomous body setup by the Govt. of India to drive quality initiatives including certification and accreditation across all sectors and industry verticals. Other platinum award winners were industry heavy-weights such as HDFC Standard Life, Bosch Automotive Electronics, Lupin Ltd., Rashtriya E-Market Services, BEML Limited and Bharti Foundation.It is noteworthy that MIET was the only educational institution from across India which received the platinum award.
