JAMMU, Jun 26: Operation Sheruwali entered its 35th day on Friday as security forces continued an intensive search operation in the Dorimal forests of the Gambhir Mughlan area in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.
A large-scale counter-terrorism combing operation is underway in the dense forest belt, with personnel from the Jammu and Kashmir Police and other security agencies maintaining a high level of alertness to trace and neutralise suspected armed infiltrators believed to be hiding in the rugged mountainous terrain.
Officials said a massive search and surveillance operation is continuing, with all participating agencies working in close coordination to achieve the mission’s objectives. Security forces are dominating the area through extensive combing and constant monitoring.
Additional security measures have also been put in place to prevent any untoward incident during the ongoing operation.
Officials said the operation will continue until the entire area is thoroughly sanitized and all operational objectives are achieved. (Agencies)
