JAMMU, June 12: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the transfer and posting of eight officers and officials of the Mining Department with immediate effect to ensure smooth functioning of the department.
According to a government order issued by the Mining Department, three JKAS officers awaiting posting orders in the department have been appointed as District Mineral Officers (DMOs). Chander Kant Bhagat has been posted as DMO Kishtwar and given additional charge of Doda, while Sunil Kumar has been posted as DMO Ramban with additional charge of Udhampur. Naveed Hussain Badroo has been posted as DMO Kupwara.
Among other transfers, Geologist Grade-I Kulwant Singh has been shifted from Samba to the Directorate of Geology and Mining, Jammu. Driller Rakesh Kumar has been transferred from Ramban to the Senior Drilling Engineer Office, Jammu.
Virinder Dev, In-charge Geologist Grade-II, has been posted as District Mineral Officer, Samba, while JE Chemical Mumtaz Ahmad Shah has been transferred from Kupwara to CMT Laboratory, Kashmir.
Sunil Kumar, In-charge Geologist Grade-II, presently posted in Doda, has been transferred to the Joint Director Office, Jammu.
The order, issued by Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) Ashwani Kumar, states that the officers shall be deemed to have been relieved with immediate effect.
