Srinagar, Apr 4: Chief of Defence Staff Anil Chauhan on Saturday reviewed security and operational preparedness along the Line of Control (LoC) in North Kashmir, stressing the need for future-ready, technology-driven and integrated armed forces.
During his visit, Gen Chauhan assessed the security situation and operational readiness of formations in the region and commended their professionalism and preparedness. At Baramulla, he was briefed on future force application and technological integration.
Addressing officers of the Chinar Corps, the CDS highlighted the evolving nature of warfare and called for a shift towards multi-domain operations, integrating land, air, maritime, cyber, space and cognitive domains.
He emphasised greater jointness among the armed forces, accelerated joint training, harmonised doctrines and interoperable command structures to enhance coordinated responses across all domains.
Gen Chauhan also stressed the importance of technological adaptation, innovation and collective preparedness to counter emerging threats, noting that operational readiness must be backed by foresight and a unified approach.
He urged all ranks to maintain high standards of operational excellence and remain prepared to tackle future challenges. The CDS also interacted with civil administration officials and local representatives, reviewing ongoing nation-building efforts in the region.
