Reasi, Feb 3: Two youth lost their lives early Tuesday morning after the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in the Dharangli Tote area of Reasi district, officials said.
The deceased were identified as Mannu, son of Rattan Singh, and Jagdev Singh, son of Balwan Singh, both residents of Shoral village.
According to officials, the accident occurred in the early hours when the driver lost control of the vehicle on a hilly stretch of the road.
Following the incident, a rescue operation was launched and the bodies were retrieved from the gorge.
Police have registered a case in connection with the incident and further investigation is underway. (Agencies)
