Jammu, Jan 29: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Thursday announced a 15 per cent syllabus concession for Class 10th, 11th, and 12th students of the Summer Zone appearing in the annual board examinations of the Jammu Division.
Officials said the decision was taken in view of academic disruptions caused by prolonged inclement weather, flood-like conditions, and other prevailing circumstances during the previous academic session, which affected timely completion of the syllabus.
“The 15% syllabus relaxation aims to ensure academic parity and prevent students of the Summer Zone from facing any disadvantage in the forthcoming exams,” government sources said.
The annual board examinations are scheduled to begin on February 17 for Class 10, February 23 for Class 12, and February 28 for Class 11. (Agencies)
