Jammu, Jan 27: The Jammu and Kashmir government has approved the promotion of 18 Chief Prosecuting Officers (CPO) as Deputy Directors Prosecution in the Prosecution Department, officials said on Tuesday.
The promotions were cleared on the recommendations of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission and have been made in Pay Level-12 under Government Order No. 60-Home of 2026, dated January 27.
The officers promoted include Aijaz Ahmad Wani, Sanjay Kohli, Mumtaz Saleem Mir, Anil Mangotra, Javaid Ahmad Khawaja, Ab Majid Bhat, Kishore Kumar Bandral, Shaheen Ahmad Khan, Maqbool Hussain, Rajesh Gill, Ranjit Bahadur Bandral, Rajesh Bakshi, Ajay Kumar, Mohd Saleem, Vijay Sudan, Anil Kumar Gandotra, Syed Jahangir Ahmad and Ranjeev Kumar.
Officials said the promotions are part of routine administrative measures aimed at strengthening the functioning of the Prosecution Department in Jammu and Kashmir.
