49 IAS, IPS Officers shifted; 7 moved out of J&K, 9 posted in UT
Jammu Tawi, Jan 4: The Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered a major reshuffle of All India Services, transferring a total of 49 Indian Administrative Service and Indian Police Service officers across the country, including changes affecting the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The order lists a host of inter-cadre transfers affecting Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar, DNH&DD and several North-eastern States. The ministry said the transfers are effective immediately and will remain so until further orders. As per the orders, 7 officers, including 5 IAS and 2 IPS have been transferred out of Jammu and Kashmir, while 9 officers, including 6 IAS and 3 IPS have been posted to the Union Territory in the latest round of postings and transfers.
Syed Abid Rashid Shah (Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department) has been transferred to Chandigarh. Saloni Rai (Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur) has been transferred to Delhi. Baseer Ul Haq Chaudhary (Mission Director, NHM) has been transferred to Ladakh.
Notable moves include the posting of Ashwani Kumar (1992 batch) to Jammu and Kashmir from Delhi and the transfer of Santosh D Vaidya (1998 batch) from Jammu and Kashmir to Delhi. Several officers have been posted to Jammu and Kashmir from other parts of the AGMUT cadre, including Anjali Sehrawat (2013 batch) and Sagar D Dattatray (2014 batch), while others have been moved out of the Union Territory to postings in the national capital and other regions.
The IPS reshuffle also includes key reassignments. Prashant Priya Gautam (2013 batch) has been posted to Jammu and Kashmir, while other police officers have been shifted between Union Territories and States to meet administrative requirements.
